The build quality of the endpin itself is fantastic, it enhances the sound of my cello better than the carbon endpin from Bois d'Harmonie (B&H), which I've been using for years. My cello now has edgier articulations and more grounded bass, without feeling heavy on the bow. The only thing I miss from the previous endpin is the tip. The tip from B&H carbon endpin is made of tungsten carbide and practically never dulls. This tip from Otto Musica dulls rather easily and does not have the silver-grey colour of titanium. Therefore I assume it's made of stainless steel. Although this tip is replaceable, a dulled tip is the nightmare of all cellists. It's really a shame that the only let down of such a great product is the tip.

Die Verarbeitungsqualität des Stachels selbst ist fantastisch, er verbessert den Klang meines Cellos besser als der Carbon-Stachel von Bois d'Harmonie (B&H), den ich seit Jahren verwende. Mein Cello hat jetzt kantigere Artikulationen und einen geerdeteren Bass, ohne den Bogen zu belasten. Das einzige, was ich vom vorherigen Stachel vermisse, ist die Spitze. Die Spitze des B&H Carbonstachels besteht aus Wolframkarbid und wird praktisch nie stumpf. Diese Spitze von Otto Musica wird relativ schnell stumpf und hat nicht die silbergraue Farbe von Titan. Daher gehe ich davon aus, dass es aus Edelstahl ist. Obwohl diese Spitze austauschbar ist, ist eine stumpfe Spitze der Albtraum eines jeden Cellisten. Es ist wirklich schade, dass die einzige Enttäuschung an einem so tollen Produkt die Spitze ist.

Pros - incredibly stiff, it doesn't wobble like carbon fiber endpin, With gut strings it adds more overtones compared to carbon, the sound is more edgy, projects more.
The tip is very sharp.
Cons - it's quite heavy compared to carbon
With steel strings the sound is too metalic
Vorteile: Unglaublich steif, es wackelt nicht wie der Stachel aus Kohlefaser. Mit Darmsaiten werden im Vergleich zu Carbonsaiten mehr Obertöne hinzugefügt, der Klang ist kantiger und projiziert mehr. Die Spitze ist sehr scharf. Nachteile: Im Vergleich zu Carbonsaiten ist es ziemlich schwer. Bei Stahlsaiten ist der Klang zu metallisch

L'embout caoutchouc qu'on voit sur la photo est trompeur...on imagine qu'il va suffire de l'enlever pour avoir une pique bien pointue. Pas du tout ! Il se dévisse ! laissant une pique inutilisable sans lui ! Bien sûr, comme toujours, ce petit morceau de caoutchouc n'est pas suffisant pour éviter de glisser....dommage car la fabrication est bonne.
Die Gummispitze, die wir auf dem Foto sehen, ist irreführend. Wir gehen davon aus, dass es ausreicht, sie zu entfernen, um eine sehr scharfe Spitze zu erhalten. Auf keinen Fall ! Es schraubt sich ab! Ohne ihn ist ein Hecht unbrauchbar! Natürlich reicht dieses kleine Stück Gummi wie immer nicht aus, um ein Verrutschen zu verhindern... Schade, denn die Verarbeitung ist gut.
