The interface is hassle-free (In my case, IOS). It connects right out of the box with my iPad Pro, a USB-C Macbook Pro, and an older Mac Pro with USB 3.0.
It comes with basic versions of Amplitube and Tonex, without extra plugins. Works well with Garage Band and the rest of apps like a native device.
The sound is decent when you hook it into your guitar/bass amp, considering is a 24bit/48Khz interface, but if you need higher quality, go for the HDX (pricier).
In the end, it is a good value for the money. It gives you the convenience of jamming with your IPad on the go using just a tiny device. Very happy with it.

Comparado con el iRig 2, el iRig USB tiene mucho mejor sonido y no tiene los problemas de acople en los auriculares que tiene aquél (ambas cosas tienen que ver con el hecho de que el primero sea analógico con electrónica discreta y el segundo digital).
Otra diferencia a favor del iRig USB es que el control de ganancia pasa a tener un botón grande, cómodo y de tacto suave al girar que se agradece mucho al compararlo con la minúscula rueda dentada del iRig 2 (a mí me costaba siempre mucho notar si realmente estaba girando).
Por lo demás, usarlo es tan fácil como conectarlo y listo. Lo utilizo con un iPhone, una Harley Benton ST-20HSS LH SBK, auriculares de monitoreo y Bias FX 2. Para practicar en los hoteles mientras viajo es sencillamente espectacular por la posibilidad de obtener un sonido tan bueno en un tamaño tan reducido y portátil. Y apenas consume nada de la batería del móvil tras horas practicando.
